week 19-2012

 BEACH!


Hayden loves the water! We went to the beach last week and he had a fantastic time.  Actually, I really enjoyed myself.  We went for breakfast with his best friend's family and then headed to the beach.  We could have just walked across the street.  

 This week at school, we had Career Week.  I really love this photo.

Super Moon

Some people truly believe that a great photograph is created by the camera and lens.  Yes, it does help but understanding and knowing what you're doing is what really counts.  Last night, I rocked the Nikon D3000, an entry level DSLR, and used an 18-200mm Nikkor lens which by many people would be considered less desirable because it has a variable aperture of 3.5 to 5.6.  My best lens is 100mm so I figured I'd just use my husband's camera because I needed the extra reach.  The first photo is SOOC (straight out of the camera).  LOL, Howard shoots Nikon and I use Canon. 

Week 17 - 2012

SUPER HAYDEN

It's that time again!  I need get ready for Hayden's birthday bash.  He's into super heroes so I decided back in October that would be our theme.  Now I just need to finish pricing stuff and get started with making/crafting the small things that add that special touch.  I'm making special picture frames for the kids, a banner and lots of other things.  I haven't even started his book.  I may have to take some stylized pictures of Hayden as various heros and make a slide show that I can play on my i-Pad.  Here are some pictures of my boy pretending to be superman.

Week 16 - 2012

This was a last minute photograph.  My Dad made the bed for my son.  The armoire and bedside table are from Ikea.   I wouldn't recommend vinyl phrases because my son already pulled off half of the M.  I'll have to take more pictures the rest of his room.

Easter

This year we had a few firsts.  It was our first time participating in our community's Easter Egg Hunt.  Afterward, Hayden and Howard colored eggs for the first time.  Also, this year I didn't purchase horrible Mall Easter Bunny photos.  Garden's Mall usually asks for a $5 donation to take your own pictures, so, this year that was my plan.  When I went to the mall they didn't charge but limited me to 5 shots.

Week 13 -2012

I only took one picture and I  used my new i-Pad 3.  We had a baby shower at work and I decided to make something I pinned on Pinterest.  I really like how this receiving blanket bouquet turned out.  Please excuse my messy desk.
